Designation of Origin of Abadia del Temple Vermouth

It belongs to the Somontano DO. In this designation of origin, the wines are known for their elegance and personality. Single-varietal wines predominate.
The vineyards of the Somontano Designation of Origin have three distinct areas: the mountains, the Somontano, and the plains. It covers a total of 200,000 hectares, of which nearly 100,000 are cultivated. Of these, 4,400 hectares are dedicated exclusively to vines.
Somontano wines feature grape varieties from more than 4,400 hectares of plantations. These are the basis for the creation of its fine Somontano wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo, Syrah, Garnacha Tinta, Moristel, Parraleta, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Macabeo, Sauvignon Blanc, Garnacha Blanca, Riesling, and Alcañón, to name a few.
Somontano is characterized by cold winters and hot summers, with significant temperature fluctuations in late spring and autumn. The average annual temperature is 11 degrees Celsius.
