Wine characteristics:
De Beroz Reserva Familia Winemaking
Wine is vinified separately and fermented for twenty days at temperatures between 25 and 26 degrees Celsius to extract color and tannins while preserving the ripe fruit as much as possible.
What type of wine is De Beroz Reserva Familia?
Aged for eighteen months in French oak, from different forests and with varying levels of toasting. Subsequent aging in the bottle for another eighteen months to achieve a perfect blend of varietal and barrel aromas.
The Batán de Salas Winery
In early 2010, DeBeroz began marketing its first wines, made from grapes grown in the family vineyards. After four generations dedicated to cultivating vineyards in the Somontano region, they decided to venture into the complex and competitive world of selling quality wines.
Later, Batán de Salas S.L. was established to boost sales and provide the winery with greater stability and visibility. This led to the creation of the Batán de Salas – DeBeroz partnership, combining the winery's two main brands, which comprise its portfolio.
A collection of approximately 350 oak barrels, mostly French and no more than six years old, allows us to get the most out of our wines when they are destined for aging, whether for short periods, as in the case of Tinto Roble, or for longer periods such as DeBeroz Crianza Especial or Lar de Beroz.
De Beroz Reserva Familia Wine Designation of Origin
It belongs to the Somontano DO. Wines from this designation of origin are known for their elegance and personality. Single-varietal wines predominate. Somontano wines feature grape varieties from over 4,400 hectares of vineyards. These grapes form the foundation of their excellent wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo, Syrah, Garnacha Tinta, Moristel, Parraleta, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Macabeo, Sauvignon Blanc, Garnacha Blanca, Riesling, and Alcañón are just some of them.
Somontano is characterized by cold winters and hot summers, with significant temperature fluctuations at the end of spring and in autumn. The average annual temperature is 11 degrees Celsius.
Somontano Designation of Origin wines possess very distinctive characteristics: high alcohol content, fruity aromas, and perfect acidity. In short, they are wines perfectly suited to contemporary tastes. Buying Somontano wine offers exclusivity and the confidence of having made the right choice.
