The Domain of Valdepusa has been owned since 1292 by the family of D. Carlos Falcó, Marqués de Griñón and is located in the Toledo district of Malpica de Tajo. Dominio de Valdepusa is a unique wine-growing operation that occupies an area of ??50ha, which includes the original vineyard (14 ha) of Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1974. As of 1991, it is progressively expanded with the varieties "Syrah" and "Petit Verdot ”-both pioneers in Spain- and“ Graciano ”

In 2003, this recognition was validated by the European Union, making Dominio Valdepusa the first Spanish estate to receive recognition only previously obtained for mythical payments such as “Domaine de la Romanée Conti” (Burgundy) or “Sassicaia” (Tuscany). Its current production of 300,000 bottles, advised by the prestigious bórdeles winemaker Michel Rolland, focuses exclusively on red wines made from its own vineyards.

Made from the pioneering Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard in Castilla La Mancha, planted in the early 70s. The vineyards are conducted on high trellises, in which canopy management systems are used.
