Special characteristics of the wine:
Oxte Tinto winemaking
The grape varieties are fermented separately, allowing us to extract the character of each one.
After malolactic fermentation, they are transferred to French and American oak barrels with an M+ toast level, where they remain for two months.
During the spring, we carry out the blending process in stainless steel tanks, where the blend (different varieties from different barrels) remains for two months before being bottled.
Type of wine: Oxte Tinto
A wine with a good structure on the palate.
The Bodem winery
Bodem, which means "soil" in Dutch, truly symbolizes the origins of this winery with Dutch roots. After more than 25 years working and living for and with Spanish wine, the Geirnaerdt-van Ekeris family found in Cariñena a place to which we felt deeply connected. That's why Bodem is not just another winery, but a firm commitment to Spanish wine, to the Garnacha variety, and ultimately, the fulfillment of a dream."
Oxte Tinto Designation of Origin Wine
The Cariñena Designation of Origin wine has an exceptional geographical location for its vineyards, as it lies at the point where the Ebro Valley connects with the Levante region, as well as right in the north-south layout that structures the Aragonese territory. Choosing to buy Cariñena wine ensures that we are making the right choice; it ensures that we are investing in vineyards with exclusive characteristics. One way to name these wines is to call them: DO Cariñena, the wine of stones.
We find Cariñena in the Ebro Valley, with a land area of 14,388 hectares of vineyards. Being an inland territory, the climate of the area is defined as medium temperate, with cold winters and very hot summers. The Cariñena vineyards are particularly well-equipped for the production of Red and rosé wines, as well as naturally sweet wines. A meal with friends or a family celebration will be complete with a Cariñena wine.
