Special features of the wine:
Elaboration Vivanco Reserva
Each variety is made separately. After a gentle squeezing, the must is gravity-encuba in small French oak vats where it ferments and macerates in contact with the skins at a maximum controlled temperature of 30 ° C, receiving slight overpumps for 20 days.
What kind of wine is Vivanco Reserva
24 months in new and second year French and American oak barrels. The wine is refined for several months in French oak juice before going to a wine cellar where it will remain for another 24 months.
Sensations of the wine Vivanco Reserva
Deep and ripe on the palate, it offers an enveloping, velvety and silky palate.
The Vivanco winery
Bodegas Vivanco is located in Briones, privileged enclave of La Rioja Alta, in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria and on the banks of the Ebro River. An area of ??mild microclimate and extraordinary clay-calcareous soils.
Around the winery we find Finca El Cantillo, named after the amount of boulders on the ground. Tempranillo is the fundamental variety, but not the only one. In this vineyard we can also find other varieties that we use in our wines: Graciano, Garnacha, Mazuelo, Viura, Malvasía, etc.
The cellar, underground, is functional and aesthetic. The building was built under the ground in order to eliminate as little vineyard as possible and to minimize the environmental impact in favor of landscape conservation. When making the underground cellar, it was also possible to favor temperature and humidity conditions balanced in a natural way all year round, essential for the good conservation and aging of the wine in oak or oak barrels.
