Viñedos Alonso del Yerro is the story of a dream. The one shared by María del Yerro and Javier Alonso, who in 2002, using their children's surnames, settled on the Santa Marta estate (Roa, Burgos) to work a group of rigorously selected plots planted with Tempranillo grapes, with the goal of producing high-quality wines. In 2007, the Alonso del Yerro family expanded their winemaking horizons by acquiring the Pagos de Miguel vineyard in the D.O. Toro, which has given rise to a new wine, Paydos, made with the same quality principles as its Ribera del Duero "brothers" but with the character provided by the Toro red variety in the best vineyards of the province of Zamora.
