wineries Pintia was founded in the late 90s by the Alvarez family in San Roman de Hornija (Valladolid) being in 2001 when the market goes the first vintage of its quality red wine. Pintia wineries has 106 hectares of vineyards grape Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) covered by the Designation of Origin Toro.
Pintia wineries belongs to Vega Sicilia Group also owns Bodegas Vega Sicilia in Ribera del Duero wineries in Ribera del Duero Alión and Bodegas Oremus Tokaj (Hungary), and co-owner of Bodegas Benjamin Rothschild & Vega Sicilia in Rioja.
