CVNE was born in 1879 in Haro. The Rioja.
It was founded by two brothers. Today it is still controlled by direct descendants. 5th generation. Since its birth, it has always focused on the elaboration and aging of wines.
Today it is composed of 4 wineries, CVNE, Imperial, Viña Real, Viñedos del Contino. With only 6 years of life the first international awards begin to arrive:

1885 Silver and Bronze Medals - Antwerp Universal Exhibition.

1888 Gold Medal - International Exhibition Barcelona.

1889 Gold Medal - International Exhibition Paris.
