Wines from the López Cristóbal Winery

It was in 1994 that Santiago López realized his dream of creating his own winery. But our story began much earlier, around the 1930s, when his father, also named Santiago, started a new family project in the Ribera del Duero region, on the very site where the winery stands today.

The definitive push into the world of viticulture came in the 1980s, coinciding with the beginnings of the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin. After several years as a winegrower, the long-awaited moment arrived to produce his own wine, leading to the creation of Bodegas López Cristóbal. The name is a combination of two surnames (López from Santiago and Cristóbal from his wife, Lola).
